Terms of service
Plain versions of the rules. They apply when you use AI Builds, whether you are posting a job or quoting on one.
Read this first
- Our answers and price guides are generated by software from what you tell us. They are general information, not legal, financial, tax or engineering advice.
- A price guide is not a quote. Builders set their own prices and may quote above or below it.
- Savings figures are scenarios built from your own numbers. Hours freed up are not automatically money saved.
- We do not supervise the work builders do, we do not manage your project, and we are not a party to any contract you sign with a builder.
- Jobs that decide or rank people, or that affect rights, safety, credit, health or visa outcomes, are referred to a qualified person. We do not scope them automatically.
Who we are
AI Builds is operated by Media Mantra, ABN 89 594 851 152. We scope jobs and connect buyers with builders. Penny is software and is not paid on the build. Media Mantra, which runs AI Builds, quotes on some jobs as a founding builder. When it does, the quote is labelled and you are free to pick anyone else.
If you are posting a job
What you pay
Nothing at the moment. The check, the answer and your scope of works are free while we are founding the marketplace and bringing Australian AI Builders on. After that the scope of works is A$149 including GST, and we will say so before you ask for one. We do not take card details on this site.
Refund
Once the scope of works is a paid product, no quotes within 14 days of your job going out means a full refund. Nothing is payable during the founding period, so there is nothing to refund.
Your information
Your job stays private until you release it. Builders see a version with your identity and contact details removed until you choose to share them.
Your budget
You set what you are willing to spend. Our guide is there to inform you, not to set your price or a builder's.

Free to join
Profiles, browsing and quoting are free. No subscription, no ranking for sale.
Free to quote
Listing, browsing and quoting cost an AI Builder nothing. When a scope of works is finished we invite up to five matching builders, each of whom has 24 hours to take a Quote Position. AI Builds is paid 12% of the quoted price, capped at A$3,000, only when a buyer accepts a quote.
12% when you win
Payable on the price you quoted, capped at A$3,000 per job, invoiced when the buyer awards you the work. Nothing is payable if the job does not proceed.
Going around the platform
If a buyer and builder introduced here contract with each other within 6 months, the fee still applies. We check awards with the buyer, not by monitoring you.
ABN is optional
You can list without one. We show buyers whether you have an ABN, because it affects GST, withholding and insurance. Tell the truth about it.
Honest listings
Work you show must be yours. Accounts that misrepresent their experience are suspended.
Content and data
You own your scope of works and anything you write into it. We keep an anonymised copy so we can publish Australian market data, with your business name and any identifying detail removed. We do not sell contact details and we do not train models on your business information.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes the guarantees you have under Australian Consumer Law. Where we can limit our liability, it is limited to resupplying the scope of works or refunding what you paid for it.
Changes and contact
If these terms change, the version that applied when you paid is the one that applies to that purchase. Questions go to the contact address published on this site.
